Final was dominated by Col from start to finish. Stumpy Geoff and Adrian were in close battle for the minor placings. With slowing motors it came down to who had the most left at the end.

Friday night was really Col’s (the fox) night. With superior driving in traffic kept his car in the slot. Adrian was coming home fast but had lost to many laps in earlier brackets.

Geoff led the final from start to finish. For 2nd place it was on with John, Stumpy, Adrian and Col swapping positions every bracket. With Col and Adrian edging out them out in the final bracket.

Daniel skipped away from the field with a track bracket record lap total of 44 in the 3rd bracket and didn't have to look back. The battle for 2nd was the best of the weekend. Col and Geoff had a few laps on Adrian with a couple of brackets to go, but with tiring motors it was a real dog fight to the line with all 3 drivers having there share of 2nd in the last bracket. Adrian’s motor held out long enough just to pip them at the post.

The Champ is Back. Mick had a really quick car Daniel did his best to keep with him early on but came into a little trouble mid race finishing in 3rd. Geoff drove a solid race to come home in 2nd. Special mention to Matt in his first wing 12 race missed the final by half a second.

With 8 entries we decided on 2 mains. Adrian, Stumpy, Qld Mick and John in one with Daniel, Brad, Geoff and Ken in the 2nd. Micks car was quick out of the blocks hooked up really well starting on purple. Got an early lead before running into trouble in the 3rd bracket. Motor didn't fall out it fell apart. (Prepared by stumpy Thanks Stumpy). Adrian stayed out of trouble who also had a motor that was falling apart with a broken hood. In the last bracket took a hit in the lead-on had the motor fall out and only managed 40 laps after soldering it back in.

B main was lead from start to finish by Daniel. He was on track for the until the 2nd last bracket where he suffered from a loose wheel leaving him 87 laps in the last bracket to get. The was a crash in the donut with Daniels car spending some time off the track before being re slotted. The end was close with Daniel doing flat laps for the 90 secs at 2.5’s a lap. Just falling only 1 short.

Special thanks to all that helped the weekend to run smoothly. Carl and Barb for race directing. Barb and Jenny for the great food coming from the Kitchen. Bazz, Ian, Bryce, Chance, Brad and anyone else who marshaled when they didn't have to. It was a very enjoyable weekend and I’m very much looking forward to next year.

I have to thank Stumpy and Geoff for the interviews for the local TV station. You guys came across very well and even had the news presenters talking about slot car racing. Best free plug I have ever had.
