7/ 5.150 Gregg
8/ 5.157 Darryl
9/ 5.225 Hayley
10/ 5.281 Steve
11/ 5.496 Ivan

Heat 1
1/ 190/5.149 Dale

Very enjoyable racing with a good group of fun guys and Hayley, but Troy was out on his own laving a close battle for the minor placings.

Well done Troy

Aussie Retro
Unfortunately we only had 7 starters, so we just ran 1 race, and thankfully we had a few volunteers for marshals.

1/ 187/5.309 Troy
2/ 174/5.616 Dale
3/ 173/5.501 John
4/ 172/5.568 Steve K

Once again, a fun race, and Troy was playing with us, with another struggle for the minors.

Well done guys and Hayley, hope to see you all next round at Tuggerah on the 8th June.

Hey guys,..Great to hear that the event is happening again and atleast seems to have attracted the same 'lads',..hopefully a few more might decide to attend as well.

If it wasn't on a Tuesday, then I would definitely have been interested, (in fact Fox probably would have gone as well), BUT, unfortunately I work virtually Every Tuesday, so will Not be able to attend.

A shame, as it Would be Really good to Race on the Tracks in the Series.

Hope it continues to go well,..Good racing Guys !!

Cheers,
Stewart

Yeah, almost the same racers as last year.

Doesn't seem to matter when it's run, somebody always says "if it wasn't run on a ...."

It was on thursday last year, and a lot said "if it wasn't run on a Thursday we would definitely be interested."

So it was changed to Tuesday, and we still don't see those people.

It IS a shame that No Extra competitors have decided to Run, as they are all Great Tracks !!

Anyway,..Hope the racing is great and everyone has fun,..Even If Troy is running in his Own Race !!!,..LOL

Stoo, it wasn't aimed at you. There were half a dozen or more that wanted to change away from Thursday.

I realise that we can't do everything, and I'm well and truely in that boat. It would be nice for a few more entrants, for a bit more competition for Troy.

After the sad closure of WSMCR, the guys down that way have had the good fortune to have another slot car centre open at Campbeltown.
--------------------
JAM Studios Racing
159 Queen St Campbelltown NSW 2560 .
We are open Monday to Thursday from 10am until 9pm and friday 10am till 5pm and saturday 9am till 3pm.
See you soon
Mat
02 4627 4393
-------------------

I thought it might be nice to welcome the new track into the scene by holding a round there. After talking with James and Mat, we now have an extra round.

Revised Calendar;
8th June - Slot Car Shed, Tuggerah.
6th July - SSME, Luddenham.
10th Aug - JAM Studios Raceway, Campbelltown.
7th Sept - Hornsby Slot Cars, Waitara.

Racing starts @ 7:30pm, but need to be there by 7pm for sign in and tech.

We had our June race for this event last night, and while we were low on numbers, we were high on fun.

We ran qualifying for both classes first up, then ran round robin for each race.
Image
Troy and Shane were the stars for the night with Arron hot on Troy's bumper in the GT1.

How about some close times in the Aussie Retro with 0.114 seconds covering the field in qualifying.

Thanks to Shane for hosting the event, and hope to see you all at Luddenham on 6th July.
You are welcome to come along on Wednesday evenings (from about 5:30) when we have our flexi race night, for a practice.

Updated calendar.

I stuffed up  the date for the Campbelltown, which was intended to replace the date for Hornsby.

So to get back to the original dates, the remaining rounds will be held;
6th July - SSME, Luddenham.
10th Aug - JAM Studios Raceway, Campbelltown.
7th Sept - Hornsby Slot Cars, Waitara.

Racing to start at 7:30pm, but be there by 7:00 to register, and tech.

For those interested, we held the SSME round last night and had some great racing with a great bunch of guys.

Here are the results from last night.
Image
We only had 7 entries in the GT!, and 6 in the Aussie Retro, which meant that we ran 2 heats for each, with only 3 or 4 drivers. It got a bit lonely on the track at times, but it was a lot of fun. As you can see by the results, some close racing.

The Aussie retro heat 1 was especially close with only 2.1 seconds seperating 1 to 3 over 143 laps.

Many thanks to Brian for staying back to help marshall the Retro heats.

Here are the progressive standings after 3 rounds, with Campbelltown on 10th August, and Hornsby on 7th September.

Thanks for the fun night guys.

Not too cold out there.

I got a few body shots, but no chassis shots. Apart from Neil's, Darryl built JK one, they are pretty much the same that's been seen before.

I'll post the few pics I have in the next day or so. My PC at work has been 'upgraded' to Windows 7, and won't let me transfer images from my camera any more.
