Hi All
The 4th round of the HSC Retro Series for the year attracted a disappointing 5 entries so we decided to call it a day and go to the pub.
Plan B - run a race with one marshal and the track call button which we did as Joe and Darryl don't drink and Stoo not really either - also Neil and I didn't want to drive home pissed as it is not the 70's anymore.
CanAm
A ding dong battle between Darryl and I with never more than a lap in it for me to win by 3.115 secs over Darryl - this was my revenge for the last time we met on this track when he beat me by 0.595 sec!
Joe was extremely unlucky having a solder joint give way on one of his pans but he was on fire early on setting fastest time of the night.
F1
Joe's bad luck continued and unfortunately he was out after less than 30 seconds and so kindly took up marshaling duties to help James out.
Stoo finished 3rd but also suffered a bit of mechanical bother - his car was quick as can be seen however it was myself prevailing over Darryl again at the pointy end.
What can I say - a somewhat disappointing number of racers but we had a great time and as always a big thanks to James for the track prep and marshaling.
