Slot Shop Avant Slot LMP Enduro

I have run in a number of the Previous Avant Slot and Ninco enduro's and have found them to be extremely enjoyable.
There are a Number of Very good drivers of all ages competing in these enduro's and the Avant Cars are Great to drive!
So if anyone happens to have an Avant Slot LMP and is looking for a Good Race,..then Come Along,..the More the Merrier.

Each driver is automatically entered to win one of 3 Slot Shop Souvenirs.

7:00pm Saturday May 16th

* Entry fee is $10 per driver (Includes one sheet of lane stickers per driver)
* Controller hire available @ $10 per driver.
* 15 minutes per lane on our Party 8 Laner
* Avant LMP Slot Cars @10 volts regulated.
* Any Avant Parts.
* Additional weight not allowed
* Magnets must be removed
* Rear tyres must be AV20304 and are to be fitted after scrutineering
* Rear Tyres must not be trued or treated with WD40, or anything other than water.
* Cars must be placed in parc ferme when not in use
* Driver changes must be in the pit area
* Tyres may only be cleaned with a damp cloth during your heat
* Cars are not to be worked on between heats... Only during your heat.
* Wings must be attached and re attached within 10 laps of an accident
* Another driver/marshal/spectator may assist with your pit stop/repairs during your heat
* Only one car per heat, but each driver may enter a car each for the event.
* All drivers are expected to marshal beween their heats
* Slower cars being lapped should give way to faster cars
* Limit of 16 teams, solo entries may be paired up if over subsrcibed.
* Free practice from 6pm
* Dinner (if required) must be ordered by 5:30pm

Gave me a Good reason to finish setting up the Spare car!!,..lol

Might even be able to give the 'locals' a bit of a challenge

Well,..Pete Did Turn up to Race with Me and almost Won one of the Brackets !!,..Way to Go Pete !!

Isn't it always the way,..that even when you have Tested the Car and Re-Fettled it all,..Dumb stuff happens,..mind you, I Should have 'Trimmed' the Braids,..I DID think of doing it,..so Sorry Pete.

My car IS pretty well set up, it Does have a Quick Motor and Could be driven Much better than I can drive it,..

I let Pete Start and the Car had Contact/Pick-up problems,..On Green,..DOH !!,..a lane that is Usually a Fast lane, so we were 'Behind the Eight Ball' from the First Bracket onwards, due to a Few Pit Stops to get the Car Going.,..sigh

So a Braid Trim was the Go although Roland Cost us a Few laps because he thought we were working on the Car out of the Bracket, though we had waited Until the Bracket started To Start working on it,..DOH !!,..lol

After that,..the Car was a Dream and we managed to finish between 4th and 2nd in each bracket.
Although, just to completely annoy me, I was in the Middle of an onging battle with a Group of Cars, when My Controller started to be 'Flakey' with it's Brakes,..DOH !!,..what else?,..I finished That Bracket with a Rental controller, Until I could Reapply some Trigger Spring Pressure, (I had slackened it off to Reduce Finger strain after the Last enduro!)

Pete and I drove Our Rings Out and I drove Really well on Red and White Pete,..as well as Blue after you left.
In hind sight, you shoul have driven The Whole First Half of the Race!,..Next time perhaps
BUT this IS a Very Competitive Class and the Cars Are Damn Quick !! Plus,..the Guys who race here are Very Very Good !!

To be Honest I am Unsure where we finished, as I didn't get a copy of the Race results from Roland,..But,..I think we Finished 7th or 8th out of 16 Teams/Solo runners. We had quite a few racers tonite,..so,..Once again,..it was a Very Enjoyable, Fun, Fast and Very Clean Nights Racing.

There Will be Another Avant Slot LMP Enduro in the Near Future, with the Next enduro being for Standard Modern GT Scalextric, Non Magnet.

Will Post the Info, when I have a Date.

Once again, thanks to Roland and the Local Racers for a Great Night and to Pete for some fine driving,..sorry the Car wasn't working properly in the first bracket.

Ahh,..No,..Sorry Mikeyt,..the event was 'Actually' on June 20th, that has (Obviously), just passed.

I didn't even Notice the Incorrect Date, as it was in the 'Body' of the Document,..which must have been the 'Original' Date of the First Enduro.
