The most difficult slot car component to get right is the body. As Tim pointed out in his thread you can make 2 bodies ones fast and ones a dog. With everyone running the same chassis the same motors the winning or losing difference now is often just the body.
Most of you have seen this webpage before, but for reference i will past the link here. Another good alternative is buy a ready made body from Beuf, PA Watson or Cody and keep it to copy.
