It's gonna be real shiny, if that's the case. Anything Wayne touches turns out shiny, clean and stylish!

Things have 'developed' at Highway Hobbies.

After being turned into a Small Lake the other evening, when due to the Freak weather, the lower part of the Shop and the Complete RC Carpet racing area was under about 2 to 4 inches of water !!!

The other thing, is that they have purchased the Larger of the Two tracks and various shleves and display cases etc that were at Slotshed at Tuggerah and in fact, helped out this morning, along with Wayne, Jake and Wayne, loading, it up from Shane's and unloading and 'placing' it appropriately at the New Shop.
We Had to cut some of the larger more difficult to manage pieces this morning to make them Man-Handleable, especially at the other end of the journey.
It all seemed to go pretty smoothly, with No Damage and so Should go back together relatively easily.

Wayne intends to re-paint the surface, Sides and Legs etc and be wiring it up Next week, so Should be Up and Running pretty Soon.

They intend to get some Regular Club Racing happening soon as well, which I am Sure Wayne will provide details of soon.

Cheers,
:)

Well,..Wayne B and his happy little band of helpers Have been busy, getting the Track back Up and Running in it's New location.

Wayne rang to invite myself to a 'Free' test and run on the Newly,..almost Completed track last night.
Many of the guys that regularly raced on the Track when it was at SlotShed were there, as well as a few of the HSC regulars, that like myself also Live on the Central Coast.

There are still a few relatively minor Details to finish prior to Club Racing starting in the Next week or two, but it was certainly given quite a work out last night, with a Wide variety of different cars being run. Traction was Very good on the New Surface and the direction of Racing has changed as well, which means IF you regularly race at HSC, you do NOT Have to change your Lead Wires over to be running in the 'Right Direction' !!!,...Yay !!! :D

All in all, the facility is large, clean and Airy and has very Keen and friendly staff/owners.

Currently they have a Very Healthy group of RC Carpet racers that meet and race there regularly and one can only imagine that there will soon be a similarly healthy group of local Slotters,..in fact atleast Two interested groups of Newcomers, just dropped in 'For a Look' last night and had some fun with the 'Rental Cars' whilst I was there.

The shop is easily found and well located, virtually in the middle of Long Jetty shops and is on the Left side of the road, just after the main set of traffic lights as one is heading towards The Entrance.

Knowing Wayne, I am sure it Won't be long until he has Both a good group of Local racers and Club and Intertrack races up and running.

The Track is Fast and would be Fun to race on I'd venture with many of the Cars/classes currently being run on Both tracks at HSC.
Anyway,..great to see another Slot car track 'Survive' to live another day and hopefully to provide many Locals with some good Simple FUN.

Best wishes and Good Luck to All involved and a Big Thanks to All that Helped get it all Up and running!!

Some Pics of the New Facility are presented below,...
Cheers

looks like a good track for "scale" cars too!
Petrol is for cleaning parts
Alcohol is for drinking
Nitro is for racing
Slotcars are for going VERY quick!

Yes,.. in theory,... although I think with the way it is setup now,..perhaps Not.

The side wall of the building, although definitely Long enough, actually has a Door in it, that Is used.
Past that door Could be OK, I'd guess,... although, once again, things as 'Placed' for RC racing and Control, Would Have to be re-arranged.

Mind you,..I Have 'heard Talk' of a Drag Strip,... in 'Another' Centre,..Yet to be established.
