Once again guys,.. Thanks very much for continuing to Scan and 'Post' these Old Aussie Slot Racing Magazines.

Somewhat Amazingly, (mainly as there would seem to be Precious Few Images of the OLD Waitara track), I was surprised to find the Image below, which Shows the Old/Original 'Counter' at Waitara, (which was positioned where the Pit area near the current Kitchen is now).

Whilst I have No idea who the people at the counter are,.. you CAN see, both Marge and Kevin Thurston (The Original Owner and Builder of Both the Original tracks at Waitara, behind the counter, serving.

Great to see !!

Neil, I've got a possible contact for the missing Mini Wheels, but want to wait until I get the magazines that I have, finish scanned.

Yours are all done now, and I have all 13 issues of Australian Slot Car Review to do.
They go from V1-Issue 1, Dec 1997 to V3-Issue 5, Sep 2000.

The scanning gets a bit boring, and I can't concentrate on it for more than a couple of hours at a time, so I scan some, then edit/format some. Takes a bit of time, but I think it will be worthwhile if we can get full sets of them all.

I checked with my contact (Bruce) about the Mini Wheels, and he can't help with those, so we need some help on those.

Bruce has offered to lend us some other stuff that will be of interest, and will keep looking through his collection for anything else that will suit.

I've been slowly tinkering away at this project and have finally scanned all 13 issues of Australian Slot Car Review, with 3 being formatted and uploaded.

Like Stoo said,,,many thanks Steve,,,you are doing a great job. And a thank you to all who have been having imput, and into remembering stories and events of an era I find fascinating . I wish that I had been a part of it in some way,,,but at least through this effort, I can get a feel for what it might have been like,,,,thanks again to all. Darryl
