HSC Retro 'Flat Track' Series R3. 11 April 2015

Post by Mark Fox »

A quick (if somewhat late) report on the April round of the HSC Retro Series on the Flatster (Road Course Track for the purists I guess).

First off with the CanAms

Heat 1 we saw James take out an 'all the way' win after a bit of a spell from racing on this track.

Heat 2 saw a battle between Mark, Paul and Justin with Mark prevailing over Paul who was about 2 seconds ahead of Justin. Paul was racing a new car - Warmack based - which was seriously quick - check out his times in the race chart.

Mark 177
Paul 173
Justin 173
Darryl 168
Leigh 163

So Overall we had.

Mark 177
Paul 173
Justin 173
Darryl 168
James 166
Peter 164
Leigh 163
Bill 163 (1.33 Secs behind Leigh)
Neil 146

And now for the F1

Heat 1 saw Darryl fly off for a good win leading all the way.

Darryl 171
Peter 164
Bill 158
Neil 143 (gotta put more lead on this baby Neil to sort it out - 115 gms is way too light for most all car/driver combinations on the difficult Flatster)

Heat 2 and Paul narrowly leads from Justin from the 2nd bracket to take the glory. I had rather a 'senior' (read as dumb) moment when I plugged into the wrong lane for a bracket which kind of finished me off factually and emotionally for the race

Paul 171
Justin 170
Leigh 161
Mark 147

The final wash-up was close with Paul just edging out Darryl for the win.

Paul 171
Darryl 171 (2.3 secs behind)
Justin 170
Peter 164
Leigh 161
Bill 158
Mark 147
Neil 143

Well that was that for the night - good fun and racing as usual at HSC.
Regards - Mark 8-)
