New Can Am for HSC

Hi All

With the onset of a new year of racing and the rather tired Can Am chassis that I have been running for a couple of years I have put dremel and iron to brass and wire for a new machine for the Can Am series at HSC.

I wanted to utilise a JK Kit that I have had since the start of Retro racing but had never built.

Starting with a Kit has a few advantages especially at the front end as I am unable to easily make the nice coined guide tongue with the bent up front wheel supports which is a really strong and simple start to the process. It's also nice to get the pans ready cut with the pin tube tabs as well. I have actually used a F1 bracket on this build as I wanted the rear end to be narrow to accommodate the layout of the wire.

The car went really well across all lanes at HSC at the ADC as it TQ'ed more than a 10th faster than all and took second place (it would have been good for a win I reckon if Paul had been driving it).
