Anyone know where I can get brand new Comutators from or where I can get custom com's made ?
Re: Comutators
Hi Mate,..
Interestingly, Yes.
If you get in touch with John Havlicek over in the US, via SlotBlog, he may very well be able to help you out.
He has been using (amongst other Vintage Kirkwoods and others), a brand of Commutator made by a friend of his which certainly Looks the business by the name 'Bugenis' I believe. He also makes Complete Armature stack 'Blanks' as well.
Have a look around on this thread; http://slotblog.net/topic/8714-arm-wind ... __st__3300 especially towards the later posts and you can See the Comms he uses.
John is a pretty Friendly chap and Winds Very Nice armatures and is Very Helpful.
Here is a pic of one of his 'Winds' utilising both the Bugenis 'Stack' and Comm'.
Hope that helps, Cheers.
