Hi guys,
Noticed This New Post by Jim DiFalco on 'SlotBlog', pertaining to his Soon to be Released 'Genesis' Controllers.
A Great Move,..allowing the Whole Heatsink/Module to be Placed Down on the Drivers' Panel, instead of Up near the Handle !!
See Here; http://slotblog.net/index.php?showtopic ... ntry296168
Sounds like a Great Idea to me, might get one of the HD30's now, as My Current controller is similar, allowing for a very Light Controller in your Hand.
New DiFalco Genesis Controllers
Re: New DiFalco Genesis Controllers
Ruddocks DR40 controller has had the heat sink down near the plug in for about 15 years now so thats nothing new. Its about time Diffalco did this.

Re: New DiFalco Genesis Controllers
My difalco has the heatsink on the chokebox, which is down near the plug. The heatsink is not a complicated thing to move.
Difalco vs Ruddock
I have just switched to Difalco from Ruddock due to the fuse on the Ruddock Controllers. if the braid comes up the fuse usually shorts and it sometimes takes a while to work out why your car isnt moving. last time it happend I lost 20 laps.

Re Diffalco V's Ruddock
Yes that has happened to me on very rare occasions , always at Hornsby never any were else. This is probably because the braid at Hornsby is in less than ideal condition but soon to be fixed along with whole track being repainted (along with some other goodies) i have been told.
On the plus side i have never had the parrallel transistors fail on my ruddock. The fuse could be removed to make it similar to Diffalco but then there is the risk of transistor failure, so its all a bit of a trade off i think.
Anyway when Hornsby is fixed up all will be solved and that will be a good thing

Re: New DiFalco Genesis Controllers
On the difalco, there is a small electronic fuse, its purpose if for false hook up. The fuse is in the brake circuit. I found this to be cause of inconsistant brakes. Most people in the U.S replace this fuse with an auto blade device. I have done the same with mine. Blowing difalco transistors appears to be a rare occurence (I have never blown one).
After posting this what are my odds now of blowing one at the ADC.

I'd say that your chances are now high because Murphy's Law says so
