keeping tapes
i should have posted this at the start of summer
some of the tapes go off in heat especially the double sided tape and the lightweight strapping tape.
its best to keep them in the fridge next to your tyres

maybe a dumb spray goo question
This is mainly to track owners.
Is there a standard formula you guys use for spray goo?
Sometimes track stickyness varies quite a lot, which is a bit of bummer sometimes because you may have the wrong tyres.
then i got thinking because when the temperature is higher the track is more slippery ...

Re: NATS 2016
Hi Roscoe,
thanks for getting the rules up nice an early
in wing 12 motor rules i couldn't see if you need to run oilites or you can run ball races?
I assume as the rules didn't specify oilites you can run ball racers but i remember some discussion re motor oilites a while ago so just clarifying ...

Re: Entry Level Wing Cars
Whether the race is for entry level or higher faster levels or any levels including sedans, retro, scalectric
The best thing to attact new racers is for the races to be well attended with existing racers.
There is nothing worse than preparing your car getting ready and then only a few people turn ...

RACEWORLD G27L & 2MO Round 2 Results
Somehow the race ended up at 3 min heats.
Not too many entries a few people away and kid kaos working, but new comer Steve had a good showing in 27L to take 3rd.
Lindsay should be back from St Maarteen next month.
no 2mo results posted.

Hi Wayne,
In 27L I take it you mean with chassis "submitted" means submitted to USRA?
regards
Michael

Re: wing 12 rule change
Hi
i know there have been mostly negative posts re changes
But remember
People in favour of it will be silent.
Those in dis-favour will be vocal.
and whether there is a silent majority .. i don't know.
The new rules at Raceworld make complete sense as the track is fast, not even open cars need ...

OMO - Motor - Dont's
Last weekend at Raceworld
I ran 74.5 with gold dust brush in frond hoods.
Brush was finished in 6th bracket.
The tip's from the guys there were;
Use Big Foot 2's
Don't use a 74.5 they appear to burn brushes faster.

WING bodies
The most difficult slot car component to get right is the body. As Tim pointed out in his thread you can make 2 bodies ones fast and ones a dog. With everyone running the same chassis the same motors the winning or losing difference now is often just the body.
