Good news is that the King track sections are finally in the raceway and have been sanded and painted in satin grey.
Once finished the raceway will be the largest in Australia and cater for all forms of racing (except HO) consisting of 4 X 4 lane 1/32nd ferrador tracks, the 6 lane smooth paint/ spray MCN 1/32nd/1/24th track, an 8 lane ferrador track, the smooth/spray King, a smooth/spray dragstrip and a rally track.
So hopefully there will be some SA racers competing again in the Wing Car/ Flexi etc scene by next year.

PJ- Certainly was, but the combination of not having a local track and not being part of the racing scene for well over a decade resulted in me not ATM being motivated enough to ordering the parts I wanted in time, means we will have to plan for future races.
I even had the best (IMO) chassis, body, motor, tire combinations all worked out (for the reasonably "flat" King Willies Track on spray glue). Really enjoyed racing there in the 90's.
Managed to get a couple of old bodies from the US not in production anymore that I think would work well on King Willies. Won the 99 Nats in Adelaide with this body. (I also had Alpha Nissan/ Redfox "Wide" Fox/Koford Peugot as a back ups). And I never discount the Sunset Scorpion. The old Spyder should also still work well in Grp 27.
There are also some local guys who would like to race interstate once things are up and running here.
Wish all racers a great time at the Brock.
BTW anyone know what equipment was used at this years Nats in Rocky? and will next years Nats at Mobile Raceways be all on spray glue?
Regards,
Dennis

Hi Dennis, what I used to win this years nats was a koford 414Z shortened to 4.350 with a Beuf kitted koford Peugeot ( had my own body but it wasn't happy on black so used Beufs) and 34 mag .485 84.5's and koford wx tires.
And yes the nats at peters will be spray glue for all classes and we even have some yanks coming out for this race...

Cody,
Thanks for the info, I heard Lindsay used his Grp 27 light steel chassis/body in Open????
Said he ran short of motors as he tried some new arms (would'nt tell my what kind, anyone know?) that did'nt work. Also said there was a lot more grip than he expected so his softish tires were no good.
Will be great if some US guys come out again, really enjoyed our chats ,especially over a Boags in the "lounge" next door at the Aust verses World race, (boy your Dad's got lots of good slotting stories)
I wonder if anyone will try a 4.1" car.
