Some great racing Saturday night with the racers who showed up. The first highlight of the night's racing for me was the return of Jacco to Retro Racing! His old cars went OK, but were in need of a little TLC! Great to have you back...
Short list of race reporting follows: After a long workday, all I remember in Canam was us all getting smoked by Stephanie! Darryl and I were no match for her consistent high lap totals and good driving. Well done Steph!
F1 was Darryl's race: the sleek Christmas Bullet flew around at it's usual high rate of knots, with Steph and me fighting over second.
The second highlight of the night's racing was Justin's first Canam race. Justin, a regular to our Wednesday racing crew has gone the way of the Retro builder, purchased kits and is building his own cars. He did well in his first race. Great to see a budding hobbyist in action!

Hi Steve
I dont know if dialup qualifies as cyber status, but it eventually gets me there. Its about time I got onboard the forum bus, for years I have enjoyed reading about, all to do with slot stuff and especially retro related. Can still remember you showing me a retro car at SSME , soon after that I was hooked!
I think its the shinny brass thing , mystical really!
Thanks for that intro .......Darryl.

I was looking forward to moving to coupes.... Now I wish I could still use my TI22. oh well, we're all in the same boat, hopefully coupe body #2 will perform a bit better than today's disaster. I think I stuffed the first coupe body anyway. Melting 7 thou plastic doesn't do much for it's structural integrity.. oops!

On a much more positive note, congratulations to Steph for winning F1 tonight with my first customer delivered "Bonehead!" F1 chassis on its debut appearance  This was actually supposed to be a prototype/test car, but it's an absolute jet and I don't think I'll be getting that one back. Not bad for a car built out of scrap (not spare) bits and oilites pulled from an unused cheetah 7... well done Steph! ;)

I need to get more .062 brass, as there's already a queue for these cars. I hope to have them ready as semi-rollers (chassis and front wheels) before the next round to give people time to get them ready.
Justin Wills,
Bonehead! chassis
