RIP says it all.
Bob lived in pain every day and never grumbled a bit.
A great guy and friend I will sadly miss.

What terribly sad news. Only last weekend I was asking Geoff if he knew how Bob was doing. What irony...

Bob was one of the funniest guys I ever met. When he was hanging out with us at a slot car race it was a laugh a minute. He used to crack me up continuously. Gill, I know you and Bob got on famously, so I am very sorry for your loss.

RIP indeed. He gave us all a reason to smile every time he came to the track.

Lindsay Byron just rang me.

Very sad news. Bob was a "Hall of Fame" supporter of slot car racing for decades and a very talented artisan and inventor. Also a great person to have known and raced with over all those years.

Last spoke to him at his surprise 70th birthday, which was a great night, and also had a chat to him and Raelene at the Lobethal track.

I made many trips down to Morphett Vale when we designed the Elfin, Spyder and Scorpion wing bodies from 1986 to 1991. Bob and Raelene were very hospitible and I always ended up staying much longer than planned (did I mention that Bob liked talking). Went down there about a year ago with the intention of designing a new wing car body, but have not completed it due to his illness.

RIP Bob and our thoughts go out to Raelene and Bethany.

Sad news, especially at this time of the year.
Bob and I used to joke about the quantity of Mazda RX7#2's that he'd produced over the years and if you could park them nose to tail how long would that line be.....
For many years his LeMans Coupe dominated wing car racing as well.
I was previliged to tour the "Sunset Factory" located in one of the bedrooms of his home after a race at Redline and marvelled how he got our wholesale orders out on time when I owned HSC.
A Lovely Gentleman who thoroughly enjoyed and supported Australian Slot Car and will be missed by all.

yeah, there has been a lot of critisism over the past few years of how many orders Bob can fill.
he really wanted to honour everyones order but his body just got the better of him.

Depth of life is not only measured by how much we appreciate the important things, but also by how much we, in turn, are appreciated. That can only happen with a treasured human spirit, a spirit like Bob!
Rest in Peace my friend...
