Hi all

With Adelaide soon to have a Blue King up an running, Im after some info on the Wing 10 class of cars. Could someone please advise on the controlled components used? I've read it use's a S16D motor, but there are so many different versions of these on the market which one is used?

Any info regarding the class would be greatly appreciated.

There can are also "local" rules at some tracks for this class i.e. sealed cheap motors.

What do they run at Mobile Raceways?

At MR it's pretty much open slather.
Most run .560 arms (38* works well) in ProSlot,Kamen or RedFox/Kelly G2 set ups.
I usually run a bearing in the can. (Not legal at King Willy's)
10:39 gearing is a good starting point.
You need a body that's "big in the bum" to clear the motor.
The most successful car I ran at MR used:
An ancient Koford Viper W12 chassis
A ProSlot set up w/ 38* arm
Medium Wonder Rubber
And a Sunset Scorpion body.
It ran 2.9's

Looking forward to getting over to Adelaide to race again (it's been about 30 years :o ....)

Hope this helps

Cheers,Andy

If it was me I would be looking at a sealed motor class - not sure Wing 10 is much better than box 12.

For entry level we need class's that remove motor building skills and dont have endless lists of choices.
