Lack of recent Race Reports and Photos

Hi All,...

Due to both Financial difficulties and some other personal situations that had to be dealt with, I have unfortunately had to Miss attending/Racing in the last 3 rounds of the HSC "Aussie Retro" Race Series.

Apart from being slightly annoyed about this,...as,..realistically,..I don't Have a 'Life',...lol,..I Really DO enjoy both the Great Racing and Very enjoyable and Fun interaction with the great bunch of racers that regularly run in the Retro classes,.

It is perhaps just slightly disappointing that no one else managed to 'post' Any results or information regarding the last 3 rounds.

Whilst I assume Many do apparently view and read the race reports,...VERY FEW actually EVER seem to bother to 'post' or Interact Actively or even remotely with the Forum,..Apart from the occasional comments regarding My Normal/usual Race reports from Steve King or Geoff Little,..it's Easy to believe that NO One else even bothers Looking at or reading the stuff I 'post'.

Now that I'm back,..I guess I Will endeavour to keep my usual reporting going as before, but as it Does take time and effort to try to be 'Creative' about the racing,..for if Nothing Else, a bit of Historical detail,..the Complete Lack of info',..would appear to Not have bothered anyone,...

Just a bit of a shame I guess,......... anyway,..

For those that might be Interested, you Can go to the HSC Race Results page that shows the current 'Standings' of the Retro Series,

Stoo, I'm sure your reports are widely read and quitely appreciated by the majority.
As a suggestion, I'd like to see some more technical info on what's won on the night eg Brad's new car-nice pic in the report, but apart from the aerodynamic exclusion of the drivers head, some spec's on this new Warmack chassis would have made an interesting read eg Rail dia, wheelbase, guide lead, tyre choice gearing-dont want crap tech sheets just an insight into what he did to achieve this win.
Lindsays car was interesting as well,a different chassis design, thinner body to most and lighter at 105 grams
Or for that matter a quick how-to on Darryl's driving skill and how he gets that car so consistent lap after lap with great straight away speed which carries right through turn 1.
I figure this may create a bit more interest with ppl trying something new.
As I said before your time and effort is greatly appreciated.

Yes Charles,..Have been thinking along similar lines.

Wanted to get a Pic of Lindsays Car as well, but forgot.

Will try and get/put some more info in,..it IS something I have been thinking of for some time,..was just a bit behind it the other night,..being the first night back after a short sabattical and all,.. :D

Still, doesn't stop Anyone else doing the same/similar,.or at least 'posting' an odd comment now and then,.. or God Forbid,..the Overall Results/Placings etc.

From reading these Forums,..one could get the idea that ONLY about 4 or 5 people are actually Involved,..AND Care !!!

This IS and Could be,..as you have suggested a Great place to 'Swap' info' etc,..

As to Why Darryll's car Can carry So much speed Off the Straight,..MY Initial suggestion,..Weight !!

:)

Good to see you back Stoo.

I certainly enjoy catching on the Aussie Retro world via your posts, thanks.

As for Darryl's car, well he is a stickler for detail, and keeps chipping away always looking to improve his chassis, plus he's not a bad driver, eh!

Keep stirring them up Darryl.
:)

Thanks Steve :D ,..and yes,..I should also mention that part of the speed of Darryll's car,..is the Skill of it's driver !!

Darryll, has definitely become a force to be reckoned with of late,..and also manages to build some very nice looking and obviously effective chassis!!

:)

I had a good time on sat night - the car I ran in Can Am was one the Tommy Flythe gave me, it is the current car trend the guys are building in Atlanta - the design originated from Joe Macintosh, I expect it is the same as what Ralph Thorne is using. The car is light but I think the issues that I had on black were mine rather than the cars - so will try it again like that before putting on more weight.

Thanks Stew for the F1 car - that was great - that had to be the tightest race I have ever been in - period - I finished 4th on 159 laps and the winner was on 160 laps. Racing like that seems very rare these days - so glad I was part of it.
