Yeah, they look great, but don't like too much rough and tumble.

There are a few patterns but those ones are probly the flimsiest.

Hmm,..Not so sure about that Steve, as they are Machined from Solid Billet and Have a Profiled thickness across the Rim Width.

I'd Run them !!

Pretty sure I first saw these on one of Fola Osu's cars, (his 1/24th Maserati MC12 I think) and They Look Very 'Proper' !!,..lol

Yep, from solid al bar, but not much left of it.

The rim is fine. Have a look at how much material is left at the end of the spokes where it joins the rim.

I had a set, on a car which I accidently dropped of my bench onto a rubber mat, and it landed on one wheel that promptly bent. I was able to straighten it to within about 0.010" wobble, but never the same again. I can well imagine that a walled car from a rider situation would be even more destructive.
:(

I've got another set (different pattern) that would probly be suitable for V8 Supercars, but I don't have plans to use them at this stage.
I'll drag them out and post a piccy.

They certainly do look the part tho, and I'd run them too.
:)

Yes, I did.

It was a few years ago when I was first introduced to Plafit, MoMo, etc, and Werner was selling them.

Patto had the range for a while, but now only has the Sakatsu 'BMW' front & rears listed on his wheels page.

Not sure where you would get the others in Oz today tho.

Hi,

You wont get Sakatsu products any more unless someone has old stock as the company has not been trading for now about 2 years I believe. they were beautiful wheels which we ran on our GT3 class (which was any model car chassis not just Plafit). They did bend if you gave them a hard enough hit, but I have run 2 pair for 3 years and never bent one.

I was hoping some other company would have picked up the Sakatsu tooling as all their detail parts were very good. Price was up but you pay for quality....If you see Sakatsu detailing stuff I suggest you grab it...

regards

Pete
