Thanks Racer X and the Mobile Raceway folk for supporting the racing.

Not a bad turn out, when you consider we had as many entires as some of the classes at the Scale Nats (sorry couldn't resist that one).

I managed to use three full sets of lane stickers, first time for ages. Now we just need to work on the speed aspect - those Racer X builds are damn quick.

See you all for the next race in August.

Sorry Shane,

I don't really think anyone skipped the Scale Nats to race in the Miller, in fact you could say it was the reverse as Adrian Bycroft came down from Mackay to race in the Miller and also raced Can Ams in the Scale nats.

Also Ted Leone raced my cars in three classes at the Scale Nats.

And I'm certain none of the entrants in the Scale Nats even thought about the Miller.

I think you have two different groups of people racing in the two types of racing events with a few people that race in both.

Personally if I held a National Wing Car race and only a hand full of people turned up I'd be looking at reasons other than the ract that a Scale Race was held at the same time.

Look on the bright side: racers had the choice of two excellent venues and excellent races. Also, there were enough racers at each event to make for a fun competition. It ain't all bad!

As for Ian's 600 laps in spray-goo. That's amazing. Truly excellent.

Congrats on the 600 laps, was it a full field or just the 4 drivers listed in the results?

Even it there were only 4 on the track, it's still pretty bloody amazing.

Agreed, turning high laps in a crash free environment is the most pleasuarable facet of wing car racing. :D
