Mid America Cup - Show Us Ya Slotz - 1st February 2025

The First (and hopefully), Inaugural "Mid America Cup" event, has been 'Run & Won'
With great thanks and appreciation to both Mike Dixon of Show Us Ya Slots for hosting the event and Roger Schmitt of 'Mid America Products' providing ALL the cars for the event.
All the cars featured the New 'Heat-Treated' Gemini 2 chassis, specifically designed for Brushless motors, along with the similarly New Parma 3000kv Brushless motors and 'Remora' ESC or speed controller:
Racing:
A total of 20 racers attended to do battle on Both tracks with Flexi DTM sedans on the Flat Road course and Flexi LMP's on the banked Suzuka track.
The Format, had cars, that basically Stayed on each lane, with only the drivers changing lanes, so each driver got to drive the Same cars on each lane. There were a number of 'Spare' cars for each track, that could be swapped, whilst simple repairs to each 'Lane' car was made, when necessary.
Apart from, the usual Slot Car style incidents, of Body Damage and the occasional ESC coming adrift, the cars basically, performed Faultlessly and with realistically, only 1 or two notable exceptions, the performance of ALL the cars was close to identical.
Thanks must also go out to Caine Newell, for checking and prepping each car prior to the event.
Qualifying was held on Yellow lane on the Suzuka track, with ALL drivers using the same car and the Top Qualifier, choosing which track he and the 2 x Groups of drivers would start on, with both Races being run simultaneously.
Luke TQ'd and (as was decided prior to the event), got to choose which track he and the faster qualifiers would start on and he chose the Suzuka track.
So the Group 1 ran on the Suzuka track, with the Group 2 starting on the Flat track.
Results & Placings:
Oh and By the Way,....
It HAS to be said, the New 'On-Site' Food Truck, is quite simply, Fantastic !!, with I'd venture a 100% 'Thumbs-Up' from Everyone
Service, provided by Amanda, was great as was the food,... absolutely ... Yummy !!!
I can Heartily recommend the "Chrysler Cheese Burger" !!
The New 'Lounge' area;
is also a great addition to the raceway, providing a quiet, clean and relaxing area close to but away from the racing and a great place to enjoy the food provided or a cup of coffee

All in All, simply another (typically), Great Event at Show Us Ya Slotz
