Saw this pic on the BSCRA Facebook page.
The 'caption' report suggested the "Motor Moved and the gear became unmeshed at the end of a Long Straight"
I guess much like the usual Ferrari comment when a Rod and Piston had Blown a Huge Hole in the Block, and the explanation was an Oil Leak,....... you Could say the Gears became Unmeshed !!,..
