SRC 2020 Round 6 - November HSC

Hi All

Last round of the 2020 SRC Series was held at HSC with 9 starters for GT1 (2 races) and 6 for Retro CanAm (1 race).

GT1

Race 1

Big tussle between Joe and John L for the whole race with John L winning by about 3 secs in the end. I finished 9 laps back for 3rd ahead of Wayne W and Stoo.

No tussle here as Troy broke the field and won by 8 laps over Andrew B with Darryl and Gregg finishing on the same lap albeit 7 laps adrift of Andrew.

Wash-up

Clear 1st and 2nd for Troy and Andrew and then John taking 3rd over Joe.

CanAm

I led for the 1st 3 brackets with Stoo and Troy chasing hard and then I hit Black.

Stoo then popped his nose in front a lap ahead of me then Troy a further lap back followed by Wayne and Gregg only another lap back and then Darryl.

At this stage; the start of the 5th; myself, Troy and Darryl had completed our runs on Purple and Black whilst Wayne had completed Purple. Stoo and Gregg were awaiting that pleasure

I reclaimed the lead in the 5th to be on the same lap as Stoo on 2nd followed by Troy 1 lap back in 3rd then Gregg 4 laps back.

Everybody came home hard in the last 3 but I held off the field with brackets of 24,23 and 24 to finish 3 laps up on Troy with Stoo 3 laps further back taking a narrow 3rd over Wayne by 1.4 secs. Darryl next 2 laps back over Gregg by a lap.

Great Racing

Thanks Mark another great report
The retro race was one of the best for me so far.With my new car only on its second race i hope this car will crack a 4.9 second lap soon.
As for the race the last bracket was ripper with Mark and myself doing 24 laps and Troy Stoo Darryl and Gregg doing 23 laps it was fast ,if only i had a
more settled first bracket on Red (only 20 laps). Still very happy with my new build now just to get it more sorted
