Hi All,

Well it was great to get some racing after our Covid19 layoff and a reasonable field of 8 starters came to test their skills on the Big Track at HSC.

Coupe/CanAm

The old faithfuls of myself, Joe and Darryl together with Gregg, Neil, Wayne W, Stevo and Jacob started in the Coupe/CanAm race which was originally scheduled as a Coupe Race but was changed to allow either as most had CanAm bods on tap.

Race 1
Apart from a slight glitch at the start when Wayne led at the change it was Stevo all the way chased hard by Wayne who git away from Neil in 3rd while Jacob (very much a learner) enthusiastically brought home the spoon.
Race 2
A very close race between myself, Gregg and Darryl was a load of fun and there was only a couple of laps in it at the end. Joe was off the pace by his normal standards and was dogged by the gremlins to finish back a bit.
Wash-up
F1

Stevo and son Jacob did not run in the F1 and so it was a nearly full field of 6 battling it out for this event with father and son helping out with James on the marshaling side.
An all the way win for me here just slowly drawing away from the field to win by 7 laps. A great tussle between Gregg, Joe (using a Darryl 'Loaner') and Darryl with only 2 laps separating the three. Wayne was a little underdone as was Neil with both not having had much racing even just prior to the Covid break. Neil also inherited Joe's gremlins and had a very sad exit for the last 3 brackets.
It was great to catch up with a few mates and race slots again and as always a big thanks to James.

Remember - SRC at HSC tomorrow night 14th July. Track opens at 5, free practice at 5:30 and racing at 7:00. See you all there.
