SSME 4 Hour Enduro 2020 #1

Hi All.
The first 4 Hour Enduro for 2020 was held at SSME and drew a full field of six teams of 2 racers.
The race format was 6 by 40 minute brackets with a driver change at the bracket 20 minute mark.
The Line-up
Shake & Bake Casey and Darryl
The Baxters Andrew and Wayne
Kenny and Wazza
GANGSTER Racing Jason and Chris
FASTUFF Mark and Stoo
Daniel and Ron
The Race
After the fabulous brekky of bacon and egg sambos provided by Ron we lined up and the 1st shift set off to be replaced by the 2nd shift at the bracket half-way mark.
Shake & Bake lead by a lap over GANGSTER at the first lane change which was reversed at the second change with GANGSTER moving 8 laps ahead. FASTUFF pounced in the 3rd bracket setting most and fastest laps on Yellow which brought us to the half-way mark. At this point FASTUFF led GANGSTER by a mere 16 laps followed by Shake & Bake a further 17 laps back and The Baxters a further 5 back. 'Daniel and Ron' together with 'Kenny and Wazza' were falling away now with about 100 laps to the deficit. Maybe it was the lack of a sexy team name doing the damage?
We stopped for a mandated 5 minutes car revamp followed by cars in Park Ferme and some lunch - sausage sambos on tap again from Ron if you did not BYO.
First bracket after lunch saw The Baxters pass Shake & Bake to take 3rd and 'Daniel & Ron' pass 'Kenny & Wazza' for 5th spot. The placings did not change after that but there was some really fast and furious racing as all the cars were extremely even. The Baxters in particular were flying and came from 22 laps behind 2nd before lunch to finish only 2 laps down on GANGSTER to nearly edge into 2nd.
Team Analysis
As you all know I love my numbers so here is a sheet showing the performance of each racer - the main use of this is show your strengths and to allow you to identify any perceived weaknesses and to them work on them.
The sheet is colour coded as follows: -
PURPLE
Identifies the fastest and/or most overall.
So we see that Stoo did the most laps (259) in 20 mins and also the fastest lap (4.470) both on Yellow. Jason however did the most laps overall with 1,505 laps to his credit! Awsome results guys.
ORANGE
Identifies the remaining best lap totals and fast times for the remaining lanes.
So we see that Mark got most on Red and Green, Jason most on Purple and White while Stoo and Wayne tied on Blue etc for the fast laps.
YELLOW (In the absence of a Purple or Orange)
Identifies the best performer in each Team (laps and times) for bragging rights! (note that we always have the Shift 1 time due to the snapshot taken at the driver change, if the Shift 1 driver posted the fast time we will not have the Shift 2 drivers best time as the system records the fastest lap for the bracket - thus if the their is a time for the Shift 2 Driver it is because it is the fastest time).
Happy bragging gents.
History
This was the 6th of these Enduros and here is the historical perspective.
Well that wraps it up and a big thanks to Ron for sorting out the venue and the food.
Cheers
