3rd Four Hour Enduro - 2019 @ HSC
Posted: Mon Jul 29, 2019 1:17 pm
Hi All,
Well it was a nice sunny Bastille Day when 3 teams arrived at HSC for the second Enduro scheduled for HSC (the third Enduro for the year to date).
Whilst it was great that we had 3 teams it is a bit bewildering given the loud and strident calls that some made to have this series. A few teams could not make it due to medical issues or family commitments whilst at least one team admitted they were over trying to beat FASTUFF (which is a sad admission to make).
The Teams
The Race
A dominating performance for FASTUFF as might be expected given the experience of Mark and Stoo racing Retros on this track over Jason and Ron (GANGSTER - SSME drivers) and Casey and Shalin (SHAKE 'n BAKE - mainly Wing Car drivers)
Race/Team Analysis
This Table shows the race within a race where we analyse the efforts of the team members.
Pink highlights show Mark did fastest lap and most laps in a session for the day whilst Stoo equaled him for most laps for the race.
Yellow highlights show the best performance lane by lane of the team members. Jason did very well whilst Ron, Casey and Shalin were getting faster as the race progressed.
History
FASTUFF remains undefeated in this format and will likely remain so as I am predicting that this will be the last of these races.
It is not a sustainable business model to relinquish the track for 6 Retro Drivers for essentially a whole trading day.
So with the poor turn-out yet another way of enjoying our hobby dies.
Thanks
A big thanks to Greg Erskine for coming and marshaling for us and also to James for hosting the event.
Concours
Shalin could not quite get the Caddy on the track but was a clear winner.
Maybe see some of you at the upcoming Coupe and F1 race on the short track Sat 3rd August and the Reto Nats for CanAm and F1 the following week Sat 10th August.
Cheers
