Hi All
Four Teams lined up for the first 4 hour Enduro for Retro CanAm cars at HSC on the small track this past Sunday 11 March. Drivers are in order of them taking their 'shift' on a lane).
The Teams
Gangster Racing
Jason and Chris
SSME #2
Kenny and Ron
Team OZ
Cody and Wayne
FASTUFF
Mark and Stoo
The Race
Lined up and Ready to go
The second shift takes over
At half-way the cars are looking good still - no casualties
Well as the sheet shows it was FASTUFF all the way not even relinquishing the lead on Purple and Black. In fact FASTUFF only dropped 3 laps on Purple and Black to OZ on Green and Blue (gaining 2 laps on Purple and losing 5 on Black!!!).
The car was great and although I was going OK Stoo seems to have hit a real purple patch of form in the last 2 Enduros and I have never seen him drive better.
Team OZ were struggling with controller issues throughout most of the race and this certainly did not help their cause at all.
SSME #2 held down 3rd from the second bracket on with Gangster Racing (father and son) - UNTIL - a super effort in the last bracket saw Gangster Racing on Blue rein in SSME #2 to take the 3rd podium spot by 0.204 seconds. It doesn’t get much closer than that after 4 hours of slogging it out!
Team Analysis
This sheet shows who did what in each team.
The Pink Award for Fastest Lap goes to Cody with a 5.004
The Pink Award for Most Laps in 15 minutes goes to Mark with 171
The Most Laps Overall were done by Stoo with 1338
The Yellow highlights show who did most laps within the team for that bracket.
Note that in the event of the first driver doing the fastest lap we don’t know what the second driver recorded as the half way bracket time would surpass any they might subsequently do and hence not be recorded. Thus if there is a lap time recorded for the second driver in the bracket it indicates a faster time than driver one, otherwise driver one gets the lolly.
Past Year's Comparison
As can be seen the reign of FASTUFF continues on HSC for this format of racing although the laps were slightly down on the last race last year - may be attributable to season as the last race was in the cooler months.
Well again as always thanks to James - the track was in great condition and we all had a great time.

Re: HSC 4 Hour Enduro #1 (2019)
Thanks as always for the report and sentiments Mark AND thanks Once again for providing such an enjoyable and effective car to drive !!,..
In all the years of knowing and racing with you, I don't really recall many (If Any 'Dud's as such,..lol) but there Really IS something about that particular chassis !! It has always been a Blast to drive !!!!
I would also like to thank the guys from SSME for turning up to race on this wonderful little track at HSC Your attendance, made for an extremely enjoyable day's racing !!
We have been racing on it for Years and it Never gets boring and is truly satisfying to Drive Well !!!
As Many of us regulars have often 'suggested' getting Plenty of actual Racing 'Track-Time' can Only be a good thing for learning how to drive and be Quick on the HSC Flat track and arguably Enduros are a Much Better way of 'Getting Into it' than a Sprint race and it was good to see the SSME guys get Better at driving it as the day progressed.
I also have to agree with Mark's comments regarding the Closeness All Day,..between the SSME guys, let Alone the Final Outcome !!!,..
What a Great result for Both teams !! Perhaps My adjustment of Gangster Racing's Gear Mesh at the Halfway point whilst on Red Helped in the closeness of the Result !!,..
Look forward to seeing you guys at HSC again in the future and at the Next SSME Enduro
