SRC 2017 Round 8 HSC

Hi All,
The last round of this series was held last Tuesday 21 November and was attended by a small band of racers who non-the-less had a great night of racing GT1s and CanAms and feasting on the pizzas generously provided by James.
GT1
This was a Joe benefit as he led virtually all the way and maintained good composure on White and Red to win by a lap over the ultra consistent Gregg who held down 2nd all the way to shade Casey by a lap.
Some quick laps from Casey and Joe while Gregg just traveled not quite as quick BUT just did not de-slot.
Darryl and I were just having fun at the blunt end while the speedsters sorted themselves out.
CanAm
All the way win for me followed by Gregg, Darryl and Casey
Gregg was keeping me honest all the way but a blitzing 23 on Purple was enough to keep me safe against Gregg's final throw of the dice scoring 23 in the final bracket to fall 2 laps short.
Darryl drove his usual high standard race and Casey is starting to come to grips with this really tricky track - maybe another season or 3
Series Podium
Casey - 3rd GT1 Mark - 3rd CanAm Darryl - 2nd GT1 and 2nd CanAm Gregg T - 1st GT1 and 1st CanAm The Series Results
Thanks to James for hosting this event and to Ron for organising the SSME participation - next year we will have 4 rounds at each of the tracks which will no doubt please Steve King who won all 3 CanAm rounds at SSME.
Also thanks to the volunteer marshals Greg Erskine, Matthew and James with Joe also chiming in for the CanAm section.
