HSC 2017 Retro Series Rnd 5 - Flat Track - 10/06/2017

Hi All

We had 9 racers for the 5th Round of the 2017 HSC CanAm Retro Series and 8 for the F1 held on the Flat Track 10/06/2017.

Here’s the outcome.

CanAm

Race 1

Cars R-L and people L-R
Steve King, Stevo, Gregg, Matthew and Casey.

Matthew and Gregg slogged it out all the way whilst Steve King and Stevo did their best to keep them (and each other) honest. Ultimately Matthew got the flag closely followed by Gregg with Steve taking the 3rd. Stevo drifted off the pace once he hit the ‘hard’ end of the track whilst Casey in his first outing showed some promise as he improved through the race.

All the way win for me closely followed by Brad at the pointy end whilst Joe and Neil had a great battle for 3rd with Joe just pipping Neil by a lap at the finish.

Gregg and Steve swapped the lead around a bit before Gregg prevailed by a lap whilst Mathew held down 3rd all the way. Stevo struggled a little to keep the pace but at least he keeps his smile throughout.

It was set to be an epic battle between myself and Brad but Brad walled on Black which definitely cost him any chance. Joe snuck his head up to grab 2nd in the melee until Brad recovered to ‘rob’ him by a lap. Neil had a new car which showed some promise but was not quite up for it on this day.

Thanks Mark.Yep that hit sure did hurt.I think the funny noise coming from the car afterwards was just the body rubbing somewhere.The car was only slightly bent.Thanks Brad.
