For those unaware of Paul Sterrett, he was the guy who came up with the concept of Retro racing in 2005, and was the driving force to get it going, with the help of a few other great pro's from the 60's.

THE first D3 race, May 27, 2006, in California.

If it wasn't for Paul, we would not be enjoying Aussie Retro today.

RIP Paul.

Thanks for the news Steve even though it was a bit sad.

I am really grateful for the whole Retro thing as I love to build and race slot cars and I think that Retro is the ONLY class where this is happening - all other classes are essentially a process of assembling bits rather than conceptualising a design and then building it to prove on the hardest marker - the race track.

So - Vail Paul Sterrett.

Hope to see you at the track soon Steve - thanks to your perseverance on the whole Retro thing as well or we may not be having this conversation.
