2016 NSW Retro Titles Round #1 - HSC Flat Track

Hi All
With the demise of Raceworld as a venue this years NSW Titles Series was reduced to two races of which the first was held last Saturday (8th November) on HSC's 125' Flat Track (aka The Road Course).
Only five (yes that is 5 - not a misprint) racers turned up to race CanAms and F1s on a beautifully clean and sticky track and so qualifying was dispensed with and two heats of three and two were run.
CanAm
Heat 1
All the way for James here with a tight battle between Joe and Neil for the minor placings - Neil finally prevailed by a lap. Heat 2
Victory for Darryl over Mark after swapping the lead at the half-way mark but not touching James total from Heat 1. Final Wash-up
James 269
Darryl 267
Mark 265
Neil 243
Joe 242
James was on fire - JK Bod and Custom Warmack Chassis built by moi. Darryl - JK Bod; nice paint and super reliable chassis. Mark - JK Bod and lightweight (for this track) chassis. Neil - Parma Bod; nice paint and self built Warmack Chassis. Joe - JK Bod and a Bramble built chassis. F1
Heat 1
James all the way again with yet another battle between Joe and Neil with Joe taking the glory this time. Joe had taken his meds prior to the race and the way he was flying he was lucky that no representative of ASADA (Australian Sports Anti-doping Authority) was there to undertake the appropriate tests Heat 2
All the way for Mark here blitzing Darryl by 9 laps and the Heat 1 totals. Final Wash-up
Mark 267
Darryl 258
James 251
Joe 245
Neil 239
Mark - Maclaren Bod and chassis using Chi-Town Bracket and Nose Darryl - Matra Bod with JK based self build James - Honda(??) Bod and Bramble chassis Joe - Maclaren Bod and 'BoneHead' (aka Justin Wills) z-rail chassis. Neil - Matra Bod with self built Hanada(correction it was a Duffy Kit) based chassis. Neil's driver was always checking his mirrors aware of the rampaging Joe coming up fast The second round of the State Titles will be on the HSC Big Track (aka The Hill Climb) on 26th November – be great to see you there to have a race, catch up with each other and to support our hobby/extreme sport.
