KING WILLYS 27L & OMO SERIES ROUND 6 ~ AUGUST
Posted: Mon Aug 29, 2016 1:39 am
Round 6,and it was the last race on the Blue King before a total rebuild.
27L was up first.
Rick set the early pace with a 2.15 TQ shot.
Lee took the first heat with a solid 585 total.
Bruce decided to actually put a car on the track for a change after saving the "GOOD STUFF" for most of this season. Apparently,he had been saving it for the Olympics!!
The most amazing part was that he lead this heat for a few brackets!!
The most un-amazing thing was that he blew up at the end of bracket 4!!!!
Heat 2 was a beauty with Russell and I separated by only a couple of laps for the whole race. Russ grabbed the lead in the 7th bracket, but he was coming home on Black and I was finishing on Yellow. I got by him with about 30 seconds to go and took it by a lap. Great racing!!

Rick then proceeded to demolish the rest of the field dropping a new lap total record of 873 on the us. In the process,he reset lap and lane total records on nearly every lane. It was bloody impressive!!!

The "NEW" KING WILLYS is just about done and will be ready to rock'n'roll for the September round!
Watch the times drop and the totals rise over the next couple of races! .
Even Bruce might go faster .....or not
Next round September 10
See ya at the races!!
Cheers,Andy
