SRC CanAm Series Rnd 4 @ Raceworld

Following on from the Retro round at Raceworld; a few days earlier; the 4th round of the SRC series was run and the CanAm race was again a really close run affair.
Eight racers saw 2 races of 4 apiece and this is how it unfolded.
Race 1 had Cody, James, Greg and myself line up. Cody and I were on the same lap (sometimes separated by the counter) for the first 5 brackets! I finally got a 2 lap break on Cody in the 6th and held on to finally take the win by 3 on 343 laps . The pace was too hot for Greg who finished on a creditable 329 whilst James unfortunately ran into big trouble and missed about half the race. Race 2 was always going to be about who could chase down 343 laps which meant equaling or beating the current lap total record of 344 laps. Well Lindsay gave it a real good shake as he set off to do just that but just fell short by a lap. After the first bracket he was always trailing by at least a lap but set the fastest time of the night of 3.994 as he gave chase. Jake was next on a good 329 followed by Bob on 323. Brad had a miserable night as his car was destroyed after only 2 laps.
The Wash-up
Mark 343
Lindsay 342
Cody 340
Jake 329 (by 2.95Sec)
Greg 329
Bob 323
James 161
Brad 3
Unfortunately no photos tonight but I was running this: - Whilst Lindsay ran this and Cody ran a Lindsay built clone of the same.
