Sunday kicked off with International 15.
A full field of 8 racers saw Russell TQ and then go on to .... finish second to Stuart.

Roundy laid down 784 in the A final,then sat back and let everyone else play catch up.
Cody came close,Rick came close but the Round Man hung on for the win.

And then we came to the race everyone had been waiting for. Who would take the title so sought after in Australian slotting!!??
That's right folks....it was time for the big one.....

The 2016 Brock HIRE CAR CHALLENGE !!!!!!!
Lee Evans came up with this one and it was a huge hit!
I think 18 people attempted to run the fastest lap with the Purple hire car.
Lee had obviously put in a lot of practice which saw him pull out a 9.37 lap. The best the rest of us could manage was in the 9.50 - 10.50 range. Then Stumpy jnr. laid down the quickest purple hire car time in history! An astounding 9.30!
The crowd went wild!

After order was restored,we moved on to the final event,Open.

Cody was on a mission!
He had won just about every major race in Australia,but the Brock had alluded him.
This was the year. Wayne had decided not to race so he could provide Cody with the best pit service possible. And it all worked out!

I was going quite well until my car got involved in
some carnage in the last bracket and destroyed the body
Unraceable (stupid car) Oh well, at least I beat the other two!

Hire Car Challenge

Should have used the red car!

The Big One OPENS

Cody blitzed the field to take out the big one,
probably the only one to stay out of trouble.
As usual, plenty of good fun and entertainment
and a couple of races as well. Great to catch up with
the interstaters including CRUSTY the clown.
(you know who you are! )
