KING WILLYS 2016 27L & OMO SERIES ROUND 4 ~ MAY 14

Round 4 and we had a new record set, a couple of the usual suspects missing, the return of a local and the debut of a new wing car racer.
The Verbeek family couldn't make this round, but the numbers were bolstered with the return to 27L of Paul Johnson and the debut of Bobby "Junior" Richardson. Bruce apparently was conserving the "good stuff" (oh god, that ALWAYS makes me laugh ) for the Brock.
So,for once,he equalled the little kid's performance, but was beaten by everyone else!
I continued my stellar 2016 form by TQing, then smoking the motor in bracket 1
When the dust settled,Stuart took the win, setting a new lap total record in the process. Just 28 laps covered the next 6 finishers.
My highlight was the performance of Junior Richardson. This was his first wing car race and he laid down an impressive 565 laps. He lost about 15 laps when a pin tube broke off,so it could have even better. Bobby asked me to thank Tim Tyler for the speedy solder job and for looking after him between brackets.

Tim was the class of the OMO field, laying down an impressive 840 laps. Stuart looked like he was up to the challenge, but slowed in the last bracket. Top qualifier,Russell picked up 3rd place with 802. The rest of us were pretty much crap!
