2015 LMP 2 Hour at HSC - The Race

OK - now to the race (you should have read the Post "2015 LMP 2 Hour at HSC - The Preliminaries" to set the scene here.
Cam took out the best looker award (for the car) and it was truly beautiful. A happy Cam receives his accolades. Qualifying was close with only 0.2 secs (close enough for you pedants who will say it was actually 0.197) from top to bottom - these cars are very sophisticated and great to drive around HSC.
Top three were:-
Phoenix with Noel the pilot at 5.268
JRS with Mark the pilot at 5.314 and
Extreme Trax with Shane doing the honours at 5.341
a spread of .073 sec! And now the racing.
They are off as the first bracket starts. Start of 2nd bracket Start of 3rd bracket - that covers all the runners as the max size team was three. Unusually for a slot car race both genders were represented courtesy of Esther. The ever vigilant James ran a great race as usual. After all the dust had settled Jason is all smiles as he has finished his marshaling spot. The results - if only and if etc - read it and weep all those except the hot combination of Cam and Shane - 5 laps up on second and 8 laps up on third. Third Place Team JRS; Mark, Gary and Kim Second Place Team Phoenix; Noel and Greg The happy winners; Team Extreme Trax; Shane and Cam. A great race and even more importantly a great gathering of racers and friends.
That's it until next year.
