Well.....round 1 for 2015 has been run 'n' won.
It was a very humid day which seemed to effect lap times.
We started with 27L. After a race long battle with Russell,I managed to get the chocolates (mmm...chocolate.... ) with Stuart finishing 4th.
27 Lite
1st. Andy. 543
2nd. Russell. 536
3rd. Bruce. 527
4th. Stuart. 522
5th. Geoff. 507

8th. Dave. 486
9th. Rick. 471
TQ. Andy. 2.2093
(Oh yeah,Bruce got third)
Timmy Tyler rocked up with international visitor Gabriel. Gabriel is a top notch scale and flat track racer in Europe,so,for something different, Mr. Tim prepped a 27L and an OMO car and introduced him to the joys of racing on the King Willys King track. In 27L,he was on a steep learning curve having very little wing car experience and precious few practice laps before racing. He finished a respectable 6th.
In OMO,Gabriel almost pulled off a huge upset! If he'd had more time to master the notorious Black lane lead on .......
Stuart ran an extremely consistent race to take the win
O.M.O.
1st. Stuart. 760
2nd. Gabriel. 735
3rd. Geoff. 728
4th. Dave. 573
5th. Andy. 566
6th. Rick. 499
7th. Russell. 490
TQ. Rick. 2.0612
Another great day of wing car action at King Willys to kick off the new season.
Next round is Saturday March 7
Cheers,Andy
