We had a few dramas last night, with track condition, and also with the race management system, but we persevered to get 2 heats of the GT1 completed, and as it was getting late, we abandoned the Retro race.

Mat has the results of the GT1, and they will be posted soon, but it was decided that this round be regarded as an exhibition round and not count towards the final standings.

The bit of racing that we did get through showed that this track will be fairly quick and should result in some close racing next time around.

Aside from the dramas, we all had a bit of fun, and Plucka discovered the Track Call button deeming it necessary to press it every time he deslotted. It got pressed quite a bit.

Our next, and final, round will be at Hornsby on 7th September.

For those interested, don't forget that next Tuesday (7th Sep) night is the final round at Hornsby.
Hope to see you there.
:)

Also, Matt posted the results of the 2 GT1 heats on Auslot for our interest.
Troy 16 - 19 - 17 - 16 = 68 laps
Steve K 18 - 17 - 15 - 17 = 67 laps
Gregg 17 - 17 - 14 - 16 = 64 laps
Steve C 15 - 16 - 16 - 14 = 61 laps

Darryl 16 - 16 - 14 - 14 = 60 laps
Plucka 15 - 14 - 12 - 12 = 53 laps
Dale 15 - 12 - 10 - 10 = 47 laps
As it was decided on the night that this round be treated as an exhibition round, these results should not count in overall positions.

Well, the faithful few turned up at Hornsby for the final round of the GT1 and Aussie Retro series.

Troy could have stayed home, he had it in the bag without having to race at, but no, he wanted to make fools of us again.

GT1
Trying to rub our noses in it in the GT1's Troy's car seemed a bit slow (by his standards) and decided to swap motors. Hopefully making it go faster. He doesn't solder as fast as he races and missed the first 2 brackets. :) That was the only way we were ever going to beat him, so thanks Troy.

Dale took out this round with 160 laps,
Gregg second on 157
Steve K on 150
Darryl on 149
Troy on 89, still playing in the pits.

Aussie Retro
This was a bit closer, but Troy still thumped us.

Troy finished on 174
Steve K on 171
Dale on 170 (unlucky by having a deslot while running 2nd)
Gregg on 169
Darryl on 164.

Many thanks to James, Wayne and Cody for marshalling for us, and thanks to James for the great trophies and prizes.

Here are the final results
Image
The worst round being dropped to determine placings, with count back to best performance/s in earlier rounds to determine any draws. :)
Hope the image is not too small.
