Ballarat Model Auto Racing Club

Post by Kieran »

I recently took the kids to visit a track I'd never been to: Ballarat. It's club-run track so they're only open for race meetings. These are currently Sunday afternoons from 1 pm. The track is fast and smooth. They run 4" flexi cars with a variety of body shells to provide variety over the year.
I'm hoping we can get up there every month or so from Melbourne.

We had the pleasure of popping in to Ballarat Model Auto Racing Club over the Australia Day long weekend. They are trialling brushless motors in some of their classes. The main reasons being the variability that can occur between brushed motors, and the longevity of brushless motors leading to lower costs on the long run.
