New Hawk 7 Motor - JKM7

Post by stoo23 »

The new JK Hawk 7 is out. It's the same motor with the same specs as before. Same RPM. JKM7

Apparently it has been found the motor brushes are Softer and 'break-in' much faster than with the original brushes .
Is recommended to NOT use Water to break them in.

Hello Racers.
I recently installed one of the revamped Hawk7 motors into my JK Indycar and I must say JKs claims to have fixed these motors seem to be close to the mark.
Racing the cars on our SUYS flat track was a pretty smooth operation with no sign of two staging and good response throughout the rev range.
This was backed up by Caine who also installed one of the new motors.

The motor also had a Balanced Arm!

Now it's hard for me to tell if there's a difference in top end speed on bigger tracks but only time will tell and they might be better off with different gearing, a tooth maybe either way but I think they are worth considering again.

Thanks BRAD.
