Westrock Brushless ESC's

Post by stoo23 »

Ofourse, the Other perhaps More appropriately Local and Pleasingly Suitably Priced ESC / Speed Controller, is the Units produced by;
"Westrock Racing Machines", based in New Zealand.

Our Kiwi friends from across the Pond are seemingly Very Interested in Brushless Slot Cars and already have a number of Cars, People and Clubs running them,.. with a Special Brushless Event to be run soon, featuring All Cars Prepared individually to the Same Spec' and running one of the New Steel Westrock Chassis and using GEPRC GR1204 3750KV Motors controlled by the Westrock ESC's

Both Mark Fox and myself have communicated with Ivan on a number of occasions and Ordered a number of the various Motor Mounting Brackets Westrock are producing, Along with a couple of the Speed Controllers.

I was Very Happy to find on arriving Home this afternoon to find ALL of the Goodies I had ordered from New Zealand had arrived All Safe and Sound :D

The Boards look Great and appear to be very well made and have been Well Tested to High KV and to Higher Voltages than We would normally run here but which should allow their usage in Wing Car racing, if some suitably competitive Motors can be found.

Currently the Price for the ESC's is an arguably Very Reasonable $45.00 Aus', which More than compares Extremely Favourably with the More Distant Overseas Options ;) :)
If interested in purchasing these ESC's or any of Westrock's Other products try contacting Ivan at nzslotcars@gmail.com

Some pics of the Westrock ESC along with some pics of it beside the UK based Bob Budge & Richard Mack units (for Size comparison purposes),..
The Westrock Units Are slightly larger BUT unlike the UK units Have NO Bulky Components on the Base Side of the PC board, thereby allowing for Easier Options in Mounting the Units securely to a Chassis.
