HSC 2017 Retro Series Rnd 7 - Flat Track (STR) - 05/08/2017

Hi All.

The 7th round of the HSC Retro series was held on 5th August on the Short Track for Coupes and F1’s and attracted 7 entries.

A single race was held in each class as we had the minimum requirement of three volunteer marshals (thank you Gregg Erskine, Joe and James) plus a track call button ably wielded by James .

A tussle at the beginning between Gregg and myself until the latter took it away for a comfortable win whilst Darryl held down 3rd spot all the way . Stoo was next with a bit of a gap to Neil then Stevo and Brad who ran into some trouble and only scored 3 laps on Blue.

All the way for me this time with Stoo, Gregg and Brad mixing it up until the dust settled after the 3rd bracket to reveal a hard charging Stoo on my tail for 2nd followed by Gregg then Brad. Darryl had a bit of an off race by his standards and only just managed to pip the improving Stevo by a lap. Neil carried the wooden spoon home in his typical good humour given the amount of pain (real) he is in these days.

NEXT RACE

The Retro Nats for CanAm and F1 are next week – Saturday 12th
Start Time for CanAm Qualifying is 6:00 pm and the track will be on from 5:00 pm.

Hopefully he will be inspired to start building again. His previous work was outstanding.
