Hi All
We had eight racers for the Round #3 of the HSC Club Championship and so 2 rounds of four apiece was the format.
The track looked great as James had given it a total clean during the week.
CanAm
Race 1
Two Newbies (Stevo and Ray) and two oldies that had not been around for a while (Stoo and Steve) battled it out here.
Right to Left for Cars and Left to Right for Racers
Steve, Stoo, Ray and Stevo
The ‘Oldies’ slogged it out at the top end with Stoo leading comfortably all the way but Steve was showing some form for someone that had not been sighted much over the past couple of years.
At the other end Stevo and Ray battled it out and it was fairly even until Ray hit the dreaded Purple and Black lanes which look lioke they should be fast through the bottom esses but are not!
Race 2
Usual suspects here.
Right to Left for Cars and Left to Right for Racers
Brad, Darryl, Mark and Neil
In a scenario that is becoming a little familiar to me for the year to date I led the first half and then Darryl led the important half to take it out with a personal best of 181 laps. Darryl drove superbly and I just lost it trying to stay with him in the second half.
Neil and Brad had a great battle with Neil leading Brad up until the end of the 6th when Brad put his head down and came home hard to take 3rd with Neil setting a personal best in the process – he was stoked.
In the race sheets I have used an asterisk to denote the fast laps on each lane colour with a BIG asterisk for the best overall time of the night.

F1
Race 1
Same cast as CanAm Race 1.
Left to Right for Cars
Stevo, Stoo, Ray and Steve
Stoo and Steve again showed their stuff with Stoo again taking it out with a good total of 172– check his set of asterisks in the latter half of this race he was flying.
Stevo and Ray were having a good old battle at the other end of the results and were very evenly matched.
Race 2
Same cast as CanAm Race 2.
Left to Right for Cars
Neil, Brad, Mark and Darryl.
I thought I might have a bit of revenge lined up to dish to Darryl – that is until I lost a wheel on White! This should never happen in my book – preparation is important to me and I am still gutted that I stuffed up here.
Anyhow so Darryl won again with Brad on his tail and although I was finishing fast there was nothing I could do. Neil also had a sorry run bowing out in the 7th bracket (not sure what happened to him as I was too busy crying).
Overall Brad was unable to match Stoo and Steve in Race 1 and Stoo (by 2 Laps) and Steve (by 3.92 secs) relegated him to 4th.

Thanks Mark
Yes I was happy with the result. It's just that everyone else is improving as well. It is a real drivers class.
The motor terminal fell off my F1, it was sitting there still with the lead wire attached! It is the closest thing to a motor fail in a couple of years of racing. You can't complain about the the reliability of the Plafit motor.
Looking forward to the next hit out.

Hi Mark, great race round up,,,,thanks to all racers that make it so enjoyable,,,bad luck with the F1 wheel loss Mark,,I think you would have won if not for that,,,,,,,,great to have Steve King back at the track,,I loaned him the 2nd choice cars and he drove them really well ,,,,,,,wow what about STOOS F1 ,,,he sure knows how to get em going,,,,,,,,well done Neil with your pb,,,you are getting a better handle on your cars with every race,,,,wasn't so long ago a 171 lap would have won the race,,,,Brad needs fresh motors,,he was sure down on hp,,but I think brad u should persevere with the same motors,,you never know ,they might get better ha ha,,,,see u all at the big track,,from the back

Hello Darryl. You know, the old Wormack was really off tthe pace the other night was'nt it.The F1 was in its first race, went all right, but I didnt really know what to expect. Now, I am thinking I should correct all of this before next flat track race.In fact I will, rest assured.Hell I might even put a rear Wing on my car,put in a new Cheetah AND run the same gearing as you.Do you think all this will give my car about 185 laps?I might even fire up and drive the thing faster than its meant to go.Nobody knows what the future holds, except ME at the next flat track race Regards BRAD. PS wont see you all next month. My sister is getting married for the third time and guess what night she picked for the wedding.Aint life grand.
