Hi All
Unfortunately I was unable to make it to this race and I was really gutted about it as I love the high speed King and was disappointed not to be able to enjoy the promised fast conditions promised.
However roving reporter Neil has provided me with the results and some pics so here goes.
Can Am
Jake all the way (except for Lindsay popping his head up in the seventh bracket) to take it out by 0.069 sec - very close win. Bob came in a very closre 3rd only 2 laps of the pace.
Line up L to R
Bob, Cody, Wayne, Neil, Jake and Lindsay.
Podium L - R
1st Jake 2nd Lindsay and 3rd Bob
F1
Lindsay all the way to blitz the field by 22 laps! Neil was going great guns holding down 2nd narrowly over Wayne until the 4th bracket when the gremlins got him which left Wayne to take 2nd with Bob 3rd.
Line up L to R
Bob, Wayne, Neil, Jake and Lindsay
Podium L - R
1st Lindsay, 2nd Wayne (great to see Wayne racing again) and 3rd Bob.
Lindsay's car needs to lose a gram!
Well it seems from my perspective that the racing was a little slower than we have seen on this track with the fast CanAm time being only 4.26 and 316 laps whilst F1 saw fast time of 4.31 and 314 Laps. Neil advised me that this was probably due to traction being hard to get - very understandable on a hot humid night as it was.
Looking forward to the next race - see you there.

The Can AM was the closest finish I have had - I was on Blue and Jake was on Black. I am sure I hit the bank in front but Jake had a shorter path to the line and got there first. I could not see who crossed the line first - it was a check the monitor job.
As I said - very close race.
As I said - very close race.

Yep - 0.069 (7/100) of a sec is beyond the eyes' capability.
