KING WILLYS 27L & OMO ROUND 8 - OCT. 17

Post by Pontiac Jack »

Well......
8 rounds down and one to go in the 2015 KW 27L series, and the racing is getting more and more intense!!! :o
We had a couple of surprises in both races.
The "little kid" made the podium in 27L,and so did Brad!!!!
27L:
Geoff finally took a win in 27L. With Russell in 4th and me in 7th,it also saw him grab the lead in the pointscore (I think.... :? ). One race to go and I believe there's 2 or 3 points between the 3 of us. No more 7 and a half bracket cars for me!!
A lot of things have been said about Bruce. Usually,it's something like "Do you think the people at the Circus are missing him yet?" or "That's the closest thing I've seen to a human being, without actually being one!!",but if we were giving out a trophy for "Most Improved Driver" this year,he still wouldn't win it!!! Because Brad Verbeek is going from strength to strength. Dad keeps putting together fast, reliable cars, and Brad just drives the wheels off them! A couple of the older folk could take a leaf out of his book when it comes to on track courtesy,too.... ;) .
Oh yeah,Bruce was 2nd
27 lite
1st. Geoff. 569
2nd. Bruce. 560
3rd. Brad. 556
4th. Russell. 554
5th. Rick. 551
6th. Stuart. 541
7th. Andy. 538
8th. Dave. 348
9th. Tim. 260
TQ. Andy. 2.1751

2MO:
In 2MO,the 1st and 2nd place getters both looked set to smash the lap total record, only to strike trouble in the last couple of brackets.
Tim snapped the guide tongue off his chassis and Rick got involved in some "Demo Derby" action, which cost him a couple of gears AND THEY STILL BLITZED US!!!
Good to see Dave got his drag car to go around corners to pick up third.
Brad came home fourth followed by various stragglers and no-hopers
Bruce finished last.
Rick came close to running a "1" in qualifying again and ran most brackets in the 2.0-2.1 range. That car was a weapon!!

2MO.
1st. Rick. 798
2nd. Tim. 794
3rd. Dave. 772
4th. Brad. 757
5th. Russel. 736
6th. Stuart. 735
7th. Geoff. 671
8th. Andy. 655
9th. Bruce. 610
TQ. Rick. 2.0230

The 27L Final will be run on November 21.
It's gonna be a thriller folks!!!

Cheers,Andy

And in a shock result
BRUCE BEAT ANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o (AGAIN)
If it wasn't for the idiot that didn't check his lead wires on his open,
BRUCE MAY HAVE BEATEN ANDY.
Well done to the little kid on his 3rd place in 27's and 4th in opens.
See you all (especially the Verbeek family) at the next round.

Happy Motoring
GGR

ps.Andy, get back to work, obviously you have far too much
time on your hands writing a novel sized race result!
