The Brock Trophy is regarded as one of the most important 1/24 race meetings each year on the Australian 1/24 slot car racing calendar. In 2011 we want to invite all racers from all countries to participate in this premier event and compete for prize money totalling AUD$5,000.00.
All The Racing will be held on our 155' Johnson Blue King. The track offers extremely fast and smooth racing, yielding most of the highest recorded Bracket laps, Race lap totals, and Fastest lap times in the country. Our Australian track records speak for themselves. The heart of the track power starts with the 3 phase power board installed under the track supplying (6) 55 amp state of the art Bulldog power supplies connected to (6) 200 amp hour batteries plus (2) 2 farad capacitors. For qualifying we have installed an extra 200 amp 2.2VDC battery.
Facilities: We can also accomodate up to 50 entries in our Pit Area. The large overhead projector screen (1.2m x 1.5m) allows everyone a great view of the JRS race screen from almost anywhere within the 6,000 square foot air conditioned Raceway. A closed circuit camera and 51cm colour TV has been positioned near the bridge to allow the "Donut marshal" and "Race Director" a better view of what's happening under the bridge section.
Fully equipped kitchen: During the event, Debbie will cater for those hungry appetites right through the weekend. We have menus for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, Hot and cold food, snacks and drinks will always be on hand.
Car Hire: Also, Rent-a-Bomb (Car hire) in Dandenong is within walking distance if you need a cheap hire car for the weekend.
Accomodation: The Formule 1 motel is just around the corner about 5 minutes down the Princes Highway by car.
Airport Shuttle:The Shuttle timetable between Tullamarine Airport and Dandenong Railway Station is available by ringing this number … 03-9782-6766 … and bookings are essential! And we are only a 10 minute walk from Dandenong Station.
More Info: If you require more information about this event or other relevant details, please don't hesitate to call me at the Track on 03-9791-4242 or by email. You can also find more info about where to stay, Dine out, What's on in Melbourne at the time, by clicking here!

Re: 2011 Brock Trophy - Australia vs The World
It was confirmed the other day that Paul "Beuf" Pederson is booked on a flight to Melbourne and will be competing at the 2011 Brock! There are also a number of USA Racers coming with him also! I believe that Jose Mario P Serra is making the trip down under too!
Re: 2011 Brock Trophy - Australia vs The World
I spoke with Jose at the Nats and he said that he is not coming now cause Brazil are hosting the ISRA at Gugu's place on the newly built scale track. So he will be missed.
But gladly, we can confirm that Les Wright is coming and so is Gary Puetz. There are others that will meet up with Beuf at the worlds in Germany, and decide there if they are attending.

Re: 2011 Brock Trophy - Australia vs The World
On the 29th of September there will be no Club Racing on the Blue King. This
means there will be no Utes and no G10's. But there will be SGT1's on the
Kingleman from 7:30pm sharp.
Instead, we will be hosting our first official "Brock Trophy" Wing 10 race. This
class has always been for the beginners only, but on this occassion we will be
opening up the entries to Pro's and Am's. And there will be a Trophy for the
top Pro, and Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the Amateurs.
For spec's on the Wing 10's click here.
Our overseas and interstate visitors will be arriving sometime on Thursday and
will be most likely using the morning and early afternoon to test and prep
their cars. So the Blue King will be conditioned to suit their needs. At approx.
6:30pm the track will be cleaned and resprayed for the Wing 10's starting at 8:00pm

I just got confirmation that Bill Skinner is coming too now!

Gary Puetz just confirmed he is on the same flight as Beuf.
Re: 2011 Brock Trophy - Australia vs The World
The entry form now contains Tech Sheets for all classes.
So you can either tick the box against the class you wish to enter.
Or the preffered method is to fill in the Tech Sheet as well!
For those guys that have already filled in the entry sheets we are really grateful.
But if you could download the new entry form/tech sheet and forward it, that would be great.
Sorry for the doubling up! We should have thought of this before.

Also are you. referring to Larry Blanton?
