HSC Aussie Retro CanAm &F1 Round 3 2010

Post by stoo23 »

Well,..it was another Really Great Nights racing, with a few Extra Bods, and both Wayne and Cody running,..BUT,..as is Often sadly the Case,..it seems almost impossible to actually 'Secure' a Full set of Race results.

I Did ask a Number of times about the CanAm Heat 1 printout, to No avail and somehow, after Being Pretty Dam sure I had a Full set of the Others, I have just had a Look at the Sheets I have, and I have Multiple Copies of the F1 Final, CanAm Final and One CanAm heat, so I can't Really even write up Half a Race report, as I have No Idea where people finished!

Would have liked to see where I ended up in the F1's as well, a bit difficult without Both Lap charts.

I think we really Will Have to sort this out,..But Heck if the Number of Printouts Equals the Number of Racers,..WHERE are The Copies disappearing to, or Who is Taking them when they aren't competing or ,... Heck I don't Know,..but it Always seems to be an Issue,..and as I seem to be the one usually writing yup the Race reports,..it Sure Would be Nice to Know that I could atleast get a Full set,..Sigh.

To be Honest I Wish the Auto Batch file that starts Notepad, could actually assign an Incremental Number the Each New file it creates,..then they could just All be saved,..for Posterity,..lol

OR ATLEAST To a USB drive,..Which I Will Give to James and Wayne for This Very Purpose,..2 actually, One at the Track, One for Me and we can Swap !!

So Maybe Mark is up to the task, he has some piccies,..Can't imagine anyone else doing it !!,..ROFL

Great Racing anyway guys,..See ya all at the Next round.

Oh and it's about that Bloody F1 car of Wayne's,..Sheesh,..Even after the First 'Bullet' Motor, this one, (Chosen off the Wall by James btw), is about as fast as the Other one.

I had a Fresh Motor in My F1 and it well and truly had the legs on My car,..sigh,..Gonna HAVE to build something Similar methinks,..:)

EDIT;

Unbelievably, I was sent a complete set of Race results, from Steve King,..via Darryl,..Thanks Guys. Maybe that was where My Set Vanished to !!,..lol

I think what Must Easily be one of the Best EVER Brackets of Slot Racing, occured in the Closing Stages of the Second CanAm Semi, as at the Close of the 7th Bracket, we had Wayne 3rd on 149 laps, James 2nd on 149 laps and Troy 1st on 149 laps !!! At the end of the 8th bracket, we Had Wayne 1st on 172, James 2nd on 172 and Troy 3rd on 172 !!!

That is easily THE Closest Racing/finish I have seen since my return to racing,..absolutely amazing guys !!

Damn CLOSE Racing with these Retro 'Blob's' eh !!??

Here are some of the Piccies Mark Took, although Unfortunately some of the Car shots are strangely out of Focus,..(Perhaps macro Mode Mark?),..weird Huh?

Anyway, what Can I say,..again,..a Really Great Fun, Friendly and Damn fast and competitive Bunch of Guys.
I am also so glad to see that there is maintained interest from those that often don't finish that high up.

It is always hard turning up knowing you will probably Not Win or place,..But I have to say, I think the Overall driving standard has become Quite High. The Racing, considering how hard and fast people are travelling, is Pretty Damn Clean. Heck accidents Will Happen.

Many of the Newer/younger drivers are doing really well and I can Only Hope that they Are enjoying themselves. For those that 'Build', well then that's another part of it as well I guess,..anyway, I certainly Hope we still see the same Happy faces turning up, as well as a few others.

There are quite a few people who even Have their own cars that haven't been for some time now, so that is a shame.

See ya all at the Next Round.

Stoo,

I always look forward to your reports on the racing at HSC.

Maybe some day we can get enough interest down here to hold some races.

Hi again Stoo,

Now I am way out of my league talking about computers and race systmes, but Carl up at Thunderdome can download the results to a "real" PC.

Perhaps you should have a chat to him.

Well thanks guys :D

It IS in fact nice to know that there is interest amongst those that don't actively Race the cars themselves, so I am quite pleased to find that you Are enjoying it.

Thanks.
