can we use BRM bodies?
whats the difference using a tamtech body from a tamiya kit?
except for the diffusers, they are the same.
ie. lancia by tamiya and protar
tamiya has discontinued the LC2 ages ago around 20 yrs if i am correct
the protar kit is very expensive that is if you could find one
i haven't heard or seen a model kit of it either.so, are we allowed to use the lc2 by tamiya?(provided the diffusers are used)

i thought the 917 was a lemans car not a CAN_AM car...
can we use the a different brand ? like dubro or tsr?
they are proper 1/24th scale like the cox and monogram models.
i also am wondering why some bodies are different from each other ie. chapparal 2g ,2e they seem to be so narrow compared to the "real" hardbody models
they seem to be as thins as some lexan blobs
can't they be manufactured a bit more thicker than the ones that are out ,similar to the hire car bodies before?
may i point out that the blobs were the ones that killed proper scale racing.
just as i have pointed out in the other forum, we're in australia not europe where parts are plentiful .
maybe the PEC organizers should look into this.

Personally, I agree with you Whole-Heartedly,..but that fact Matters Not to the Powers That Be.
You Won't be getting Any Direct answers from ANY PEC People Here, btw,..My 'Attitude' and Comments have put Paid to that,..in Fact I had promised myself Not to make ANY Further 'Posts' in this section, but after reading Your Post,..I just Had to.

And Hey the NEW CanAm/Sports GT rules Limit the 'Overall Wheel to Wheel Width, or 'Spur' as THEY Call it at 76mm !! with the Maximum guide lead Measered from the Back of the Rear axle to Centre of Guide Flag Pivot at a Mere 114mm !!!
My Plafit 1/32 Maserati runs 115mm !!!,..so I have No Idea what the idea is there, apart from Guaranteeing the cars will Handle Badly,..Especially around HSC !!
Why in a class where the Chassis have endless adjustments, you Virtually dis-allow any adjustments, kinda leaves me wondering,..but Just remember,..as we keep being told,..it Will be the BEST slot Car Racing you will Ever experience in your Life !!,..Yeah Right.

For Group C racing at Hornsby you can find the rules here - http://ascra.com.au/pdf/Hornsby/2010_Group_C.pdf
You will notice there's no stipulation on bodies except that it must be a built from a Group C static kit. There are a lot on the market and some common types haven't been used yet locally. The Nissan is very popular in Europe but I haven't seen one here yet. If you'd like to see other bodies introduced then please come to the July race at Hornsby and put forward your case.
The CanAm class is actually CanAm/Sports Car and the list of bodies is extensive but you'd be doing well to find a competitive "Sports Car". In Brisbane we run the new 2010 rules which don't seem to have had any impact on performance on the tight tracks, in fact one of the guys set a new heat record at Coomera last week with a 2010 spec car. The Hornsby races are run to the 2009 rules which you can find here - http://ascra.com.au/index.php?option=co ... &Itemid=36. Please note that maximum width is 78mm and there are no restrictions on guide lead for Hornsby.
