Hey Chadley, Give us a Break !!!,..

It was a Tough weekend!
As noted in the Plafit Report, I had left the Cable for the Camera at Work, so had to Purchase a new one today,..so,..With the Report and other details to still be added, Here are the Pics from What was Possibly The BEST Retro Racing we have Ever Had,..it was Very Good Racing in Both CanAm and F1!!

Thanks Guys !!,..Very 'Enjoyable' Racing and a Damn Load of Laughs and FUN as well,..JUSY How it Should be,..Especially within the True 'Spirit' of the Class, as devised by it's Instigators.

Concours or a Beautiful Airport Terminal?

Post by stoo23 »

Hey,..You Know we Really Should Modify That Plinth for the 'Concours' !,..as at the Moment, it is Celebrating the,..
"Concourse d Elegance", which would suggest something aloneg the Lines of an Aiport 'Air-Side' Terminal or something Similar,..ROFL,...Oooops,

The Correct Spelling, is actually,..'Concours', from the French;

con•cours
Pronunciation: ( Fr. kôn-kOOr'; Eng. kong-koor'), [key]
—n.,
—pl. -coursPronunciation: ( Fr. -kOOr'; Eng. -koorz'). [key]
1. a public contest or competition.

Concours d'Elegance (from French meaning a competition of elegance) dates from about the 17th Century, when French aristocracy, used to parade horse-drawn carriages in the parks of Paris during Summer weekends and holidays.

Concourse
n.
1. A large open space for the gathering or passage of crowds, as in an airport.
2. A broad thoroughfare.
3. A great crowd; a throng.
4. The act of coming, moving, or flowing together.

[Middle English concours, assembly, throng, from Old French, from Latin concursus, from past participle of concurrere, to assemble : com-, com- + currere, to run.]
