There has been a question asked with regards to wheel inserts. It is your choice if you have wheel inserts or not on your cars. If you choose not to have wheel inserts, this would have an effect on your concourse points, but not on your eligibility to race.

It really is a very big pity that the Plafit rules are not followed and that you are allowing them to be watered down. The first event of this kind in NSW should set the standard for the future and the success of this racing. Afterall, interstate and national competition should be the ultimate aim, where the same rules apply all the time.
Please reconsider using the rules as they are. By all means create your own for any regional classes you wish to promote.
Cheers

Hi James and Wayne,

I have to agree with Jan on this. It would be so easy just to use all regulations which have been established over many years especially for these national events such as the Model Slot Car Nationals in Dapto or the APC last weekend.
Wheel inserts are an important part of any model racing car in all scales and it has nothing to do with concours.

Another question : With the Historic 1/24 Can-Am and Sports Car Class will this be run to the correct specs. with concourse points (max. 20) added to the race result (max.50) ?

Cheers

In consideration for all interstate travelers, this event has been moved to Saturday, December 12th, not Sunday, December 13th as advertised elsewhere on this forum.

Wayne & James,

Wasn't this event advertised to be on Sunday 13th December.

Mikey, Greg Colgan and myself already booked our flights five weeks ago, it is going to cost $270.00 to change the flights to Saturday 12th.

Looks like we won't be there now!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,
With regards to the proposed date for this event, it was changed recently because of an email I received from Werner that everyone was under the impression that the date was Saturday, December 12th. We have had this event advertised for the Sunday since we originally posted it in May of this year on our website. Subsequent communications with other people have revealed that this is not the case, and that Sunday, 13th December is the understood date for this event. So therefore we are changing it back to our original listing. Sorry about the confusion.

Gee Whiz,.this Date thing Really has caused some problems eh !!??

We have people booked from different states to come on different Days.

You Know,..personally and I think perhaps Many of the Local Retro Guys, probably couldn't Give a Hoot if The Retro Event Happened,..especially if there is some way that the Plafit event can go ahead AND Include Everyone that is coming !!

Can the Racing Be on Saturday Evening / Sunday Morning ??,..or at some time that Might allow all that Were thinking of attending to Actually have some Good racing ??

It's Just an Idea,..Either that, or we Have Two Days of Racing !!

What do you reckon guys ???

If People have booked tickets and will lose Money,..surely Some Good racing even against a small field is better than No racing and a Bill for unused Airfares !!

Just an Idea,...

Hmmm, Werner and Jan make good points.
Is HSC recieving any money and/or endorsments for using the plafit name in the title?
IMO we should drop the plafit name from any events not recieving any endorsment for using that name!

On the subject of racing, hope the retros are going well and good luck to all with the scale cars for tomorrow!
Petrol is for cleaning parts
Alcohol is for drinking
Nitro is for racing
Slotcars are for going VERY quick!

Well,..actually I'm not too sure just how many starters we Will get for Retro's, as Many of Those that Could Race won't be there, so it may Not be a Truly 'Representative' field,..which Is a Shame.

Similarly I also Hope the Scale racing goes well.

Also, I agree with the Plafit/Non Plafit concept,..as there Will be Future Rounds of a Plafit Championship, it Should be Delineated, as to Whether the Event is Totally Plafit or Not.

As used before, perhaps the Term 'Model car' be used, which denotes Scale realism, but does Not intrinsically Imply Plafit.

I think you will find Werner Has supplied Prizes etc for this Event.

Good Luck to All and have some Great Racing !!

I whole heartedly agree. Having one make championships may work in other parts of the world but are simply not at all condusive to this countries economy and totally detrimental to slotcar racing in this country!!

low numbers are not the mark of great racing............its all relative.
Do you think Peter Brock (RIP) competed amongst the best of the best?
Were Alan Moffats Falcons built by the best of the best?
its all relative!
