I noticed a post by Liza Ford that her Father Ray Greig , of Moonee Raceway passed away peacefully this morning aged 93.
Highly respected in the slot car industry 1960's - 1980's, he owned Mooney Raceway, built his own slot car tracks & billard tables.
Held 24hr races.
1st shop in Moonee Ponds ...

Many of us older Sydney slotters will probably happily remember this place

As David correctly described, Group 12 , or perhaps now more commonly referred to as ' Wing 12 ', is no raced anywhere in NSW currently, although it is still an active class and raced (Mainly in National Events), in Queensland at:
